Informing Those Subject to Section 5 Process of Outcome Decisions

Section 5

The relevant employee representative (normally manager in attendance at strategy meeting) has the responsibility for providing information and the outcome decision to the individual whom the allegation has been made against. They must be informed about the outcome decision made and any transferrable risk decisions that have been made and any next steps in terms of DBS referrals, notifications/referrals to professional bodies.

As the chair and responsible safeguarding lead the LADO/DOS will also formally write to the individual person providing the outcome of the allegations process.

THIS DOES NOT NEGATE THE REQUIREMENT FOR EMPLOYERS/MANAGERS TO INFORM OF OUTCOMES DIRECTLY TO INDIVIDUALS
